Dr. Dorey also is sought after by doctors, insurance companies and attorneys from throughout the nation for Independent Medical Exams for second opinions on medical conditions and problems.

He has been designated a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, and is a member of the following organizations:

Hutchinson Practice

After spending 20 years in private practice in Tacoma, he moved his practice to Hutchinson in 1998 so that his children could enjoy the benefits of family living nearby.

 

Academic Background

A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Dorey completed his medical training at the Los Angeles County Medical Center.

Military Background

After serving as an orthopedic surgeon and fire pilot in the U.S. Air Force, he opened a private orthopedic practice in Tacoma, Washington where he remained about 20 years.

Dr. Dorey serves on a number of orthopedic utilization review committees, including the Peer Review Committee for the Kansas Foundation for Medical Care, Inc.
